It’s been too long since we’ve had a gathering of this magnitude and couldn’t be more excited to welcome back one of our favorite local producers! JB Neufeld made their first wine in 2008 and it’s safe to say we’ve been a fan ever since!

This winemaker dinner will be intimate (seats are limited to 20) and some of their wines that you can’t find anywhere else.

Justin (The “J” of JB) will be on hand to talk shop, tell you about his passion for cabernet sauvignon and the Yakima Valley.

Our multi-course tasting menu will be paired with wines from JB’s incredible and limited portfolio.

• Parsnip Brown Butter Bisque - heirloom potato, Dungeness crab, prosciutto crisp

• Grilled Octopus - spanish chorizo, mole negro, avocado mousse, heirloom masa gnocchi, ricotta salata

• Honeydew Melon Granita - coconut crema, blood orange

• Grass-Fed Hanger Steak - beurre rouge, roasted sunchokes, charred onion, herbs

• Pink Peppercorn Vanilla Tart - cranberry compressed pears

To many, Portugal is the last frontier of wine in Western Europe; there is still so much to be tasted and explored beyond port. We’ll taste the northern end of the country, beginning with the Dão, known for its infamous Touriga Nacional vine, then move north to Vinho Verde and then the Douro Valley, Portugal’s best-known wine region.

The knowledgeable Celina, of American Northwest Distributors, will be pouring the expressive wines from the unique region of Hawke’s Bay New Zealand produced by Decibel. Tonight we're highlighting some delicious wines from Umbria in Central Italy.  Patrick from Cru selections will be pouring delicious fun things from the team at Cantina Roccafiore.  Terroir driven, artisanal and low-intervention wines, made from organic and earth-friendly farming in Todi, Umbria.

One of our favorite importers Tristan, is visiting with a great selection of French wines.  Stop by and taste through a myriad of styles and varietals produced by growers who farm organically,  use native yeasts, and generally just don't mess with what they're given (if it ain't broke, why fix it?)

While we’re not one to acknowledge that the summer is ending, the inevitable is unfortunately upon us here in Seattle as we slip in to autumn.  The good news is that we've got Chris from Olé & Obrigado to taste some wines from the Iberian Peninsula that just might help the sting of moving in to cooler evenings and shorter days.
