We get it: you’ve been to grocery store to purchase your favorite easy drinking Italian table wine for that special midweek evening on the couch watching The Bachelorette, but those kind of special evenings really demand something esoteric, unusual, exotic shall we say? ENTER SLOVENIA! We realize that you weren’t expecting that, but we thought SLOVENIA could really use some recognition, you know? (Caps were necessary too). Home to the world’s oldest grape vine, Slovenia wine culture is older than Rome and – by god – that is old. The new Slovenia, however, is anything but your Grandpa’s wine. This Tuesday, throw on your coolest duds, put that tv program on hold, and get down to Halfseas for a kickass wine tasting of the new, cool Slovenian wine wizards.
