Spain is home to some of the most exciting winemaking in the world today. “Terroirists” like Daniel Landi, Fernando Garcia, and Olivier Riviere – amongst others – are seeking out and planting unique vineyards sites to create wines that are unlike many of the region’s predecessors, reflective of terroir and deeply considerate of the health of the land. Tonight, we will explore a collection of delicious sips – from elevated, biodynamic Corpinnat sparkling to deeply ponderous Garnacha worthy of a steak, and imagine ourselves bare-armed in Spain, hiking in the Iberian sun. Last month’s Amari tasting was such a blast that we’ve decided that we have to do another bar-focused tasting evening with some of our favorite VERMOUTH! Taste through a head-spinning selection of many of our favorites – try them neat, on a rock, with a twist or a spritz. Emily and Matt will be throwing down again as the night’s bartenders and crafting small sips of joy in the process. We’ve been waiting patiently for Demetri to whisk us away in his catamaran on a breezy, spritzy sail through the Greek islands for quite some time now and Demetri is late – by years - needless to say. Thus, in another episode of ‘create your own joy’, may we present to you – WINES OF THE GREEK ISLANDS! Demetri isn’t invited and we deleted him from our phone. Don your coolest, spring wine-tasting attire and join us on our little tasting island for a night of gorgeous wine! While preparing yourselves, practice pronouncing the word Agiorghitiko. Best pronunciation wins a tableside prize.
